Gastric Ulcer

Ulcer on the inner wall of stomach is due to causes unknown. It is sometimes associated with Anemia, ague, syphilis, tuberculosis, pyaemia or septicaemia, extensive bums etc.

Symptoms: Pain in the pit of the stomach after food, leading to vomiting which relieves the pain; occasional blood-vomit or blood passed with stools. Excessive acidity in stomach, leading to continuous pain at a later stage of the disease.

Treatment

Uranium Nitricum 3x (trit.)—2 grs. every 6 hours, when ulcer is in the fundal portion of stomach.

Kali Bi. 3x (trit.) —2 grs. every 6 hours when ulcer is the result of bum and is situated on anterior wall.

Try also—Argent. Nitric. 6, Ars. 3, Lachesis 6, Ornithogallum Umbellatum Ө (Only one drop), Atropium 4x (occasionally).

Diet: —Give non-irritating, easily digestible foods that do not cause flatulence. Do rectal feeding in bad cases. Peptonized milk or jelly, weak tea or coffee; well milked, finely grated bread-crumbs, white of eggs beaten up in milk, pounded fish, minced meat, mashed potatoes may be gradually allowed in the order in which they have been given here.
