Relapsing Fever

Sudden onset of fever with rigor lasting about a week and thereafter a period of apyrexia for a week follows.

In this way, six or seven attacks alternate with periods of pyrexia. Headache, joint-aches, thirst vomiting, jaundice are the main symptoms. This is a poorman’s disease.

Treatment

Bryonia 3x—6—Headache, pain in limbs;

Ipecac 3x, —Nausea or vomiting;

Arsenic 3x—3—Quick, weak pulse, intense prostration, restlessness;

Baptisia 1x. — Alimentary troubles.

Light nourishing diet must be taken.
