Sciatica

This is a pain of the nerve of the back, thigh and is due to cold, damp, fatigue or poisons circulating in the blood, as in malaria, diabetes, etc. It is found also in those affected with gout, rheumatism, and if not properly treated, leads to Locomotor Ataxia.

Treatment

Ammon. Mur. 3x—3—Pain increases while sitting, abates during walking and disappears during sleep.

Colocynth 1—3—Pain comes and goes suddenly and is due to cold or damp.

Gnaphalium 3-30—Intense pain in the nerves and spasmodic contraction of the muscles; alternate numbness and intense pain.

Carbonium Sulph. 3—Flying pains, returning regularly for a long time. Useful where other remedies fail, in acute or chronic affections.

Ars, Sulph. Rubrum 6—30—Useful to the weak and the aged, and the sciatica following influenza.

Natrum Sulph. 12x (trit.)—Pain when getting up from sitting, or turning in bed; no relief in any position.

Lachesis 6—30—In women, after the menopause. Pain increases after sleep.
