HOMOEOPATHY FOR SINUSITIS

A virus, bacteria, or fungus infection can cause sinusitis, which is an inflammation of the sinuses.

The sinuses are air-filled cavities in the skull that are situated behind the forehead, nasal bones, cheeks, and eyes. Usually, mucus can drain out of the sinuses and air can flow through them, and healthy sinuses don’t contain any bacteria or other germs.

Bacteria and other germs can grow more readily when the sinus openings are blocked or too much mucus accumulates.Sinusitis can result from one of the following conditions:.Small hairs (cilia) in the sinuses fail to function properly to move mucus out.Colds and allergies may cause too much mucus to be produced or block the opening of the sinuses.A deviated nasal septum, nasal bone spur, or nasal polyps may block the opening

There are two types of sinusitis: acute sinusitis, which lasts for four weeks or less and is brought on by bacteria growing in the sinuses, and chronic sinusitis, which lasts for more than three months and may also be brought on by bacteria or a fungus.

Headache, pressure-like pain, pain behind the eyes, toothache, or tenderness of the face. Nasal stuffiness and discharge. Sore throat and postnasal drip. Cough, often worse at night. Fatigue and general feeling of being unwell.
