About Shwet Parpati

This medication, known as Shwet Parpati or Kshara parpati, is an Ayurvedic preparation made by dehydrating a homogenous blending of ammonium chloride, potash alum, and potassium nitrate. It is effective in treating dysuria, oliguria, colic, urinary tract infections, urinary calculi, and hyperacidity. Shwet Parpati is white in color and is not made from black sulphide of mercury.

Diuretic, alterative, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and supportive of the urinary system, Shwet Parpati increases blood flow to the kidneys and urine production.

Ingredients of Shwet Parpati

• Calcium nitrate, also known as Kalami Shora
• Potash alum-based Phitkari
• Ammonium chloride, Navsadar

Uses of Shwet Parpati

• Urination that hurts and dysuria
• Minimal urination
• retaining urine
• Renal lithiasis (kidney calculi or stones present)
• Infection of the urinary tract (UTI)

Dosage of Shwet Parpati

• Before or after meals, once or twice daily, or as prescribed by an ayurvedic physician, between 125 and 500 mg.
• As previously mentioned, it is served with a variety of co-liquids.
