An anorectal stricture is a narrowing of the rectum and anal canal that can be congenital or acquired. Constipation, great straining for stools, pain, rectal bleeding, and diarrhea are the main symptoms. Acquired strictures of the rectum result from scar tissue arising from trauma, infection, or narrowing of the bowel from a new growth.

AESCULUS HIPPOCASTANUM
Constipation accompanied by hard, dry, knotty, white stools, pain along the rectum after stools, a feeling of having the rectus filled with small sticks, burning in the anus with chills running down the back, a feeling of having bugs crawl up one’s skin, as well as hemorrhoids.
ALOE SOCOTRINA
A sense of insecurity, constant bearing down, a sore, hot, and bleeding rectum, as well as burning in both the anus and the rectum, are all symptoms of anorectal stricture, along with diarrhea and cramping.
ALUMINA
Even a soft stool is passed with difficulty, as are hard, knotty stools. The urge to evacuate is painful and occurs long before the actual evacuation. The rectum is sore, dry, inflamed, and bleeding. The anus itches and burns.

NATRUM MURIATICUM
Dry, crumbling, and hard stools. Tears in the anus caused by the stools that caused the anus to contract and cause burning.
NITRIC ACID
Itching, burning, and fissures in the anus. Stools, even soft ones, tear the anus. Much straining for stool, but little passes. Violent cutting pains after stool, lasting for hours. Walking in agony. Bleeding along with stool.
NUX VOMICA
Constriction of the rectum, frequent unsuccessful urging to pass stool, passing only small amounts of it at a time, feeling as though some of the stool was left behind, and constant itching and discomfort in the rectus are all symptoms of constipation.
OPIUM
Constipation that won’t go away, stool that looks like hard, black balls that are round and painful in the rectus, and stool that contains bloody mucus.
PHOSPHORUS
The urge to go to the bathroom while lying on the left side, bleeding from the rectum during stools, hard, long, narrow stools that resemble dog stools, very fetid stools, flatus, and rectum stricture with flattened stools are all symptoms.
PLUMBUM METALLICUM
Intense pain in the rectum during bowel movement, obstruction of the exit, hard, lumpy, and black stools with urging and anus spasm.
RUTA GRAVEOLENS
Constipation, rectal cancer, difficult feces that can only be expelled by straining, rectal stricture, and feces that discharge blood and mucus.
SILICEA
Stools are retained due to pain, painful sphincter spasms, cutting, cramping pain in the rectum, and great straining to expel them. The rectal stings and closes upon passing stool.
THIOSINAMINUM
A dissolvent that dissolves scar tissues and adhesions is a specific treatment for rectal stricture.
