HOMOEOPATHY FOR HOMOSEXUALITY

784

Contrary to heterosexuality, which is the sexual relationship between people of different sexes, homosexuality is the sexual relationship between people of the same sex. Homosexuality is only considered a disorder when it is the person’s predominate, significant, and persistent mode of sexual relationship and when it is ego-dystonic (causes the person a great deal of distress).

There are two types of it, obviously: Male and female sexuality. Female homosexuals are also known as lesbians or Sapphics after Sappho, a female homosexual who lived on the Isle of Lesbos in ancient Greece, while male homosexuals are referred to as gay.

The following categories can be used to categorize homosexual behavior:

Obligatory homosexuality

· Only homosexuality

· No heterosexuality

Preferred homosexuality

· Predominant homosexuality

· Occasional heterosexuality

Bisexuality

Homosexuality and heterosexuality are nearly equal.

Situational homosexuality

· Predominant heterosexuality

· Occasional homosexuality

Latent homosexuality

· Only heterosexuality

· Fantasies of homosexuality

In the last few decades, there has been considerable debate over whether homosexuality is a common occurrence or a mental illness.

Ego-syntonic homosexuality, or the lack of concern for homosexual behavior

Only the ego-gystonic type of homosexuality was referred to as abnormal because it was associated with significant distress.

The term homosexuality is mentioned under the term “ego-dystonic sexual orientation” but was later completely removed from the psychiatric nomenclature due to social and political pressure.

Treatment

The treatment is currently only available in the following circumstances:

A homosexual individual who wishes to change their sexual orientation to that of a heterosexual individual may self-refer.

Self-referral from a person who identifies as homosexual, but not for a change in sexual orientation, in order to alleviate the distress that comes with being homosexual.

However, in most cases, treatment can only be provided if the person asks for assistance. Referred by parents, relatives, or close friends.

HOMOEOPATHIC REMEDIES

When it comes to homosexuality, there are many effective medicines available in homoeopathy, but the selection depends on the individuality of the patient, taking mental and physical health into account. Homoeopathy is currently a rapidly growing system that is being practiced all over the world. Its strength lies in its evident effectiveness as it takes a holistic approach towards the sick individual by promoting inner balance at mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical levels.
