Adhatoda Vasica, also known as vasaka, also goes by the names Malabar nut, vasicine, and vasicinone, and is an Indian medicinal plant that is useful for treating a variety of illnesses, particularly respiratory infections.

The fresh juice of Vasa’s leaves, which is excellent for respiratory infections, can be used in dosages of 1-2 teaspoons for respiratory ailments; at higher doses, it induces vomiting. Vasicine also exhibits strong respiratory stimulant activity.

• Here are some home remedies for treating respiratory conditions like bronchitis, asthma, and cough.
• Take one teaspoonful of the juice from the crushed Vasaka leaves to treat chronic bronchitis, asthma, and tuberculosis.
• Bronchitis brought on by poor appetite and digestion: squeeze the juice from the Vasaka leaves, combine it with honey and ginger juice, and take in the morning on an empty stomach.
• Cough: Take 7 Vasaka leaves, wash them under running water to remove any dirt, and then boil, filter, and drink a little bit of the water each day.
• Drink small amounts of this water throughout the day by soaking 4-5 Vasaka leaves and roots in an earthen pot with water.
• Chronic wheezing (whistling sound while breathing): Take 1 tsp of the juice from 2 cups of Vasaka leaves, 2 cups of Haritaki, and 3 raisins; boil the mixture until the volume is reduced to half; filter the mixture; add honey; and then drink it hot three times per day after meals.
