Alumen (Potash Alum)

Alumen is the main treatment for constipation, including obstinate constipation, haemorrhage from bowels, and constipation with no desire to pass stools for days.

This remedy also includes hardening of tissues in its area of action, including a tendency to hardness of tissues of the tongue, rectum, and uterus; ulcers with indurated bases; and inflamed and painful body glands like tonsils. Alumen is helpful in dysphagia (difficulty in swallowing), especially to liquids with a sensation of dryness and constriction.

Head:
