About Chaturmukh Ras

The herbomineral Ayurvedic medicine Chaturmukh Ras is used to treat all forms of vaat roga, various nervous diseases, postpartum weakness, cough, and fever. It is a cardiac tonic and strengthens the heart.

This is Rasa aushadi, which contains Shuddha Parada as well as other ingredients. Mercury is used only after being properly purified using techniques like Shodhana, Mardana (grinding), Swedana (vapourizing), Prakshalana (frequent bathing), Galana (straining fluids), etc. These procedures detoxify mercury from the drug and cause physical and chemical changes that improve its therapeutic effectiveness.

• Mercury that has been purified using herbs
• Herbal Sulfur Purified by Shuddha Gandhaka
• Iron-based bhasm is known as loha bhasma.
• Abhraka Bhasma: Mica that has been processed and purified
• Aloe vera juice extract from Kumari in a sufficient amount.
• Castor, eranda, and ricinus communis leaves

Uses of Chaturmukh Ras

Chaturmukh Ras is a potent remedy for vata disorders, and it works well for conditions like epilepsy, insomnia, mental illness, nervous debility, and other diseases of the nervous system. It also strengthens the heart and is both nutritive and tonic.

Asthma, pulmonary tuberculosis, anemia, digestive weakness, piles, hyperacidity, diarrhea, physical weakness, and chronic bronchitis are other conditions that can be treated with Chaturmukh Ras. This medication also works well to treat Prameha/diabetes symptoms.

Dosage of Chaturmukh Ras

It is traditionally given with honey and Triphala powder in doses of 125 mg once or twice daily, before or after meals, or as prescribed by an ayurvedic physician.

• Given that this medication contains aconitum as an ingredient, self-medication with it could be dangerous.
