About Ras Sindoor

Ras sindoor is a mercury-based Ayurvedic preparation that is effective in treating a variety of diseases. The preparation of Ras sindoor involves treating mercury in metallic form with sulphur and a mixture of herbs and minerals.

Ingredients of Ras Sindoor

• Inflammatory conditions, tuberculosis, chronic respiratory conditions, asthma, anemia, obesity, non-healing wounds, and digestive issues can all be treated with Shudha parad, which is purified and processed mercury. It is also used to improve strength, boost the immune system, and treat cardiac diseases, colicky abdominal pain, diseases of the urinary tract, fistula in ano, and other conditions as well.
• Sulphur/Sulfur is known as “Gandhak” in Sanskrit and Hindi due to its strong unusual rotten-egg like smell. It is a non-metallic element found in nature. There are four varieties of sulfur viz. red, yellow, white, and black. Of these, the red and black are not currently available. Yellow variety is used for internal use while white is used for topical applicatio.

• Maintain a distance from children’s eyes and reach.
• Keep the items in a cool, dry area.
• Because of the presence of heavy metals in this medication, patients with diabetes, HTN, and CKD should use it with caution.
