Homeopathy Medicine for Biliary Colic

The pain goes away if the gallstone passes into the small intestine and unblocks the bile duct, which is the tube that typically drains bile from the gallbladder to the small intestine, causing biliary colic, which is a dull pain in the middle to upper right region of the abdomen.

When the gall stones are at rest, there may not be any pain, but when they start moving there is agonizing pain that starts in the epigastrium and shoots up to the hypochondrium, towards the spine, and towards the right shoulder. These attacks are often very severe. Biliary colic is experienced when the gall stones move along the dusts.

CAUSES OF BILIARY COLIC

Gallstones are hard masses that develop in the gallbladder; they can be small and numerous or large and few. Gallstones form due to chemical imbalances in bile or infrequent or incomplete emptying of the gallbladder. Biliary colic occurs when the gallbladder contracts and causes a gallstone to momentarily block the duct that drains the gallbladder.

The discomfort and pain of biliary colic are brought on by an increase in gallbladder pressure.

A portion of the bile is stored in the gallbladder, and eating a meal causes the gallbladder to contract, or squeeze inward, releasing the gallbladder’s contents into the small intestine. The bile and digestive enzymes are transported by the bile ducts from the liver, gallbladder, and pancreas to the small intestine. The bile carries away wastes from the liver and aids in fat digestion.

SYMPTOMS OF BILIARY COLIC

Colic frequently happens in the evening, especially after eating a large meal, and some people experience it after going to bed. A person with biliary colic typically experiences pain in the middle to right upper abdomen, which can feel sharp, crampy, or like a constant dullache.

When the gallstone escapes the bile duct and enters the intestine, biliary colic’s most severe pain usually subsides after 30 minutes to an hour, though it may persist at a milder intensity for several more hours.
