Every woman will experience cystitis at least once in her lifetime. It is a common condition that is more frequently found in females.

CAUSES OF CYSTITIS

Because a woman’s urethra is shorter than a man’s, bacteria can more easily enter and infect the female bladder, increasing the likelihood that a woman will develop cystitis by 50%.

When bacteria from the urethra are introduced to the anus, infection may result.

One of the most prevalent bacteria that causes bladder infections is Escherichia coli, or E. Coli.

There are several ways to transmit bacteria:

A.Acute cystitis :According to the infection’s cause, its severity, and the patients’ immune status, the infection in this instance is acute and typically lasts for a week or two.

B. Recurrent cystitis :frequently seen if the cause is left untreated and the patient’s immune system is weak.

C. Chronic Cystitis :bladder inflammation that persists for a long time—it might be visible for weeks or months.

DIAGNOSIS OF CYSTITIS

  • routine testing for bacteria and pus cells in urine.
  • White blood cell counts can be easily increased.
  • To diagnose cystitis, a urine culture is performed to determine the precise type of bacteria present.

COMPLICATIONS OF CYSTITIS
