HOMEOPATHY FOR ANAL FISTULA

217

An infected tunnel that forms between the skin and the muscular opening at the end of the digestive tract (anus) is referred to in medicine as an anal fistula.

An abscess that spontaneously drains or is surgically drained through the skin next to the anus is the most common cause of anal fistulas, which develop when an infection begins in the anal gland and travels through a tunnel under the skin to connect with the infected gland.

Causes–Anal abscesses are the most common cause of fistulas, but diverticulitis, Chron’s disease, STIs, trauma, tuberculosis, cancer, and a small number of other conditions may also cause fistulas on a less frequent basis.

Symptoms— The symptoms and warning signs of an anal fistula may include the following.

· Recurrent anal abscess

An abscess’s surrounding area is painful and swollen.

· Pain with bowel movements

· Bleeding

A fistula around the anus may leak bloody or foul-smelling pus; the pain may subside after the pus drains.

Skin irritation caused by ongoing drainage around the anus.

Chills, a fever, and a general sense of exhaustion.

HOMEOPATHIC REMEDIES

When it comes to ANAL FISTULA, there are many effective medicines available in homoeopathy, but the choice depends on the individuality of the patient, taking mental and physical saftey into consideration. Homoeopathy is currently a rapidly growing system that is being practiced all over the world. Its strength lies in its evident effectiveness as it takes a holistic approach towards the sick individual through promotion of inner balance at mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical levels.

Surgery is the only treatment option for anal fistula in allopathic medicine, but with careful selection of homoeopathic medicines—some of the most significant of which are listed below—this condition can be treated without surgery.

BELLADONNA:When pus forms and there is fever, throbbing pain, and anus redness, the first stage of a fistula is when belladonna is most effective.

HEPARSULPH:After the first stage, hepar sulph is recommended because the abscess turns into pus, there is raw smarting in the rectum during stools, and these symptoms last for a long time.

SILICEA:The passage of the fistula converts into the sinus in this stage, and there is a watery discharge oozing from the fistula. Silicea is one of the effective treatments for this condition.

BACILLINUM:Particularly for tubercular patients who are prone to colds, bacillium is regarded as an intercurrent treatment.

MYRISTICA SEBIFERA:Myristica is thought to be a specific treatment for fistula in anus, and it works best when pus formation is still in its early stages.

LACHESIS:One of the best treatments for fistula in anus is lahesis. The patient complains of tightness around the anus, chronic constipation, and offensive stool. The pain in the fistula feels like it has been beaten with hammers.

PAEONIA OFF.:Paeonia is excellent for fistula in the anus with excruciating pain in the anus that persists long after stools, requires the patient to stand up and move around, and is accompanied by pus discharge. The patient also experiences intense biting and itching in the swollen anal orifice, ulceration of the anus and perineum that is purple and crusted, as well as internal chilliness and a burning sensation after passing stools.

CAUSTICUM:There is soreness and burning pain in the anal and rectal region, the stools are very hard, covered in mucus, and shine like grease. There is pulsation, pain, and itching around the anus and perineum. Causticum is excellent for anal fistula with large piles.

HYDRASTIS CANADENSIS:Additionally, prolapsed of the anus connected to the fistula and fissures, raw, sharp pain in the rectum during stools that lasts for a long time, constipation with a sinking sensation in the stomach, and anal fistula with obstinate constipation are all features that hydrastis is excellent for.

NITRIC ACID:Anal fistula with soreness, burning pain, fissures in the bowels, constipation, violent cutting pain that lasts for hours, itching around the anus, and thin greenish discharge from the fistula are all treated with nitric acid.

BERBERIS VULGARIS:The best remedy for an anal fistula, which causes burning pain in the anus, itching around the anus, and tearing or smarting pain in the anus and perineum, is berberis vulgaris.

FLUORIC ACID:The best treatment for an itching and burning anus with a fistula and dental and lachrymal discharges is fluoric acid.

CALCAREA SULPH:In cases of anal fistula, calcarea sulph is the best treatment option for the shooting pain, painful abscesses around the anus, and thick, yellow pus discharge from the fistula.

SULPHUR:Another alternative treatment for blind fistula is sulphur, which may occasionally cause the fistula to discharge yellow, green, or other colored fluids painlessly.
