About Kutaja Avaleha

Kutaja Avaleha is a traditional Ayurvedic remedy used to treat dysentery, diarrhea, piles, IBS, and other gastrointestinal disorders. It contains Kutaj bark (Holarrhena antidysnterica), old jaggery, Trikatu, Triphala, Rasanjan, Bhallataka, Bel giri, Chitraka, vidanga, and honey.

The main component of this medication is kutaj, which is also known as kurchi or kutuj (Holarrhena antidysenterica).

Astringent, antiperiodic, Deepana, Pachak, Raktapravardhak, and Raktapravardhak (increases blood) are some of Kutaja Avaleha’s other properties. It also does not increase appetite while aiding in the digestion of undigested food.

It is also known by the name Kutajavaleham and is used to treat a variety of piles, chronic diarrhea, anemia, blood vomiting, passage of tarry stools, chronic indigestion, jaundice, and other conditions.

  • Bilva, an eagle-marmelos
  • Semecarpus anacardium, purified bhallatak
  • Aconitum heterophyllum’s Ativisha

Contraindications of Kutaja Avaleha

Although there haven’t been any side effects reported specifically, pregnancy should be avoided.

Constipation might result from overdosing.

When giving it to children and lactating women, extreme caution should be used.
