Ingredients:

Cyperus rotundus species, Mustaka/Muta

Decoction-useful water

(Saccharum officinarum) Jaggery or Gud

Woodfordia fruticosa, or dhataki

Trachyspermum ammi, also known as Yavani or Yamani

Ginger, or Shunthi (Zingiber officinale),

Black pepper, also known as maricha, is a spice.

Syzygium aromaticum, also known as lavanga or clove

Trigonella foenum graceum, also known as methi or fenugreek seeds

(Plumbago zeylanica) Chitraka

White caraway seeds, or jiraka (Carum carvi),

Dosage:

12 ml to 24 ml, once or twice daily, right after meals, or as your doctor instructs.

Lower doses are safe for children older than 7 years old.

Contraindications:

Gastritis may result from taking too much Mustakarishta.

It should be avoided in the event of increased Pitta.

Patients with diabetes are advised to avoid it.
