CHELONE GLABRA (Snakehead)

Chelone is indicated in dyspepsia with hepatic torpor and jaundice, as well as dyspepsia with round and thread worms. It is also indicated in liver affections with pain or soreness of the left lobe of the liver and extending downwards. Dumb ague (Malarial fever) is also present.

Chelone is a member of the plant family Polygonaceae, and its native range is from Georgia to Newfoundland and Labrador. Its flowers are drawn in upright, terinal spikes that eventually reach 3-4′ tall, and this unusual plant resembles the head of a turtle.

Dose -Tincture, in ten to fifteen drop in some water thrice daily.: Tincture dosage: ten to fifteen drops three times daily in a glass of water.
