Benefits & Medicinal Uses of Giloya Churna

Due to its immunomodulator, rejuvenative, and adaptogenic actions, Guduchi or Tinospora Cordifolia is suitable for everyone with any type of body type or disease. It increases the diminished DOSHA or DHATU and reduces the increased DOSHA or DHATU, so it brings about balance. AMA (Toxins formed in the body due to malabsorption and ill digestion) is its main effect, which reduces AMA and helps in all types of diseases in which AMA is associated.

Fever & Infections

When combined with Praval pishti, the antipyretic action of giloya (Tinospora Cordifolia), which is beneficial in all types of fever and infections, including viral and bacterial infections, is improved and it works well. It also maintains the patient’s physical and mental strength and prevents fever-associated debility. However, giloya is not a potent antipyretic. Instead, it is good for its immuno-modulatory action.

Debility after Typhoid Fever or Chronic Diseases

Additionally helpful for debility following typhoid fever is giloya.

Skin Diseases

The following skin disease symptoms are affected by giloya: burning sensation, itching, redness, swelling, and tenderness.

Pilonidal Sinus (PNS)

It occurs on or near the natal cleft of the buttocks and is also known as Pilonidal Sinus (PNS), sacrococcygeal fistula, Pilonidal abscess, or cyst. In this condition, oil processed with Giloya Juice and Turmeric Paste is helpful for removing skin debris, pus, and dirt particles. It also speeds up the wound’s healing process and treats Pilonidal sinus.

Gout & Increase Uric Acid Levels

In ayurveda, associated AMA plays a significant role in the development of gout, which is preventable; guduchi reduces uric acid formation by acting on AMA toxins and improving metabolic activities in the body; it also increases the elimination of uric acid through kidneys by improving renal functions.

Rheumatoid Arthritis

The most effective natural treatment recommended by the ancient ayurvedic texts is a combination of dried ginger and giloya powder; punarnava can be added to this mixture to increase its effectiveness; in the absence of punarnava powder, Punarnavarishta can be used instead.

Interstitial Cystitis

Giloya reduces damage and protects the bladder epithelium, and all of its formulations—Giloya Juice, Giloya Churna, Giloya Sat, and Giloya Decoction—are helpful for Interstitial Cystitis. However, it is usually combined with other medications, including Chandraprabha Vati, Gokshuradi Guggulu, Punarnava, and Mustak (Cyperus Rotundus).

Pancreatitis

Giloya (Tinospora Cordifolia) has potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It also has analgesic properties that aid in pain relief.

According to ayurveda, Giloya is an AMAPACHAKA (Detoxifier) and reduces inflammation and upper abdominal pain in chronic pancreatitis. Steatorrhea (oily and smelly stools), which indicates the presence of AMA in the body, is a symptom of chronic pancreatitis. Giloya eliminates the oiliness and foul odor in the stools.
