Ingredients of Marichyadi Vati

1. Kali Mirch – Maricha (Marich), also known as Gol Mirch, Kali Mirch, or Black Pepper, is an herb that primarily affects the digestive, circulatory, and respiratory systems. It is an expectorant, carminative, antipyretic, antihelmintic, and antiperiodic substance made from dried, unripe seeds of the perennial shrub Piper nigrum.

2. Peepali – Also known as Pippali, Pipal, Long Pepper, and Dried Catkins, Peepali is a fruit of the Piper longum plant. Its primary effects are on the digestive, reproductive, and respiratory systems. It is pungent (Katu) in flavor, hot (Pipal) in potency, and sweet (Madhur Vipak) after digestion.

3. Yavkshar – Yavakshara, Shora is an alkali preparation of Yava or barley that contains potassium bicarbonate and is effective in treating a variety of illnesses, including amavata, poison, vata vikar, and abdominal diseases.

4. Dadim ka Chhilka – The dried pomegranate peel has potent antimicrobial, germicidal, and astringent properties.

Precautions

1. Keep kids out of your sight and out of your reach.

2. Due to its potency, it should be used with caution by those who have Pitta roga, hyperacidity, bleeding disorders, or ulcers.

3. It acts as an emmenagogue; use during pregnancy is not advised.

4. It should only be consumed in the prescribed doses, as exceedingly high doses can vitiate all Doshas and cause burning sensations.

5. Because it contains jaggery, diabetics should avoid it.

6. Avoid taking your own medications.
