The description of this large shrub, which can grow up to 3 meters tall, includes its ash-colored, wrinkled bark, younger parts, and the underside of its leaves, which are covered in appressed white floccose tomentum. Its leaves are sub-sessile, thick, glaucous green, 10-20 cm long, elliptic or obovate-oblong or shortly acuminate, with a narrow cordate or frequently amplexical base.

HOMOEOPATHIC USES

Calotropis reduces muscle mass while increasing muscle strength and hardness.

ASTHMA: Shortness of breath and chest constriction brought on by mercurial poisoning and syphilitic infection.

Blood is purified and used as a treatment for syphilis in all stages.

LEPROSY: Leprosy is linked to a burning sensation throughout the entire digestive system.

FEVER: Frequent chills that travel up the spine; head hot; body cold; cheeks that burn like fire; chills that return at night, even when near a fire; fits of perspiration that alternate with chills; dizziness; a dull occipital headache, especially at 11 am; giddiness with a tendency to vomit; and violent burning throughout the entire alimentary canal.
